30.12.10 -'ROYAL BABY'S' APPEAL REACHES 18.5 MILLION PEOPLE

  • Pat Fitzgerald with Jon Swingler, Resident Manager of The Royal Hotel

Acting on behalf of our client, The Royal Hotel in Cardiff, Blanket Communications is spearheading the search to find relatives of a baby found abandoned 71 years ago at the famous hotel in Cardiff.

We are delighted to be working with Pat Fitzgerald, who was that baby, and today still lives in Cardiff, helping her to make her appeal across the nation's media.  For the first time since 1939, Pat recently returned as a very special guest of The Royal Hotel and stayed at the hotel with her daughter Joanne, and received a commemorative plaque from Jon Swingler, Resident Manager of The Royal (pictured).

Over the past two days, Pat's story has appeared in the Daily Mail, The Times and The Sun, and the mother of four and grandmother has appeared on ITV Daybreak and Radio 5 Live.  Combined with online exposure, we estimate that her call has so far reached an audience of over 18.5million people in just 48 hours!
