We brought you news that The Cafe Quarter was hosting the inaugural ‘Jazz in the Lane’ event at the end of July and the Cafe Quarter certainly didn’t disappoint.  The event was graced with sunshine, a great atmosphere and of course all that Jazz!
The fantastic line up of bands included the Paul Jones Trio, Five Go Swing, Jajuki, and the subtle tones of  Cymbient who played outside the Juboraj restaurant and Mocka lounge throughout the day attracting thousands of visitors to event. 

Blanket Communication’s very own Peter Acton and spokesman for the Cafe Quarter Association, said it “showed people a new side to the street and gave them a taste of the Brecon Jazz Festival.” 
 
A scaled-back version of the Brecon Jazz Festival is now due to take place between August 7 and 9.
 
“In a sense, it was like a taster session. We wanted to raise awareness of what is a fantastic event and a great style of music,” said Mr Acton.
 
“You can’t beat it when you see people coming along. They sit down, get a drink, and a few minutes later their toes are tapping along.”
