Since February, Blanket Communications has been working with the Cafe Quarter Association providing heavyweight marketing, communications and PR support for the revitalisation of The Cafe Quarter, Cardiff 's leading al fresco dining promenade which must rank as the coolest social destination in the Welsh capital these days. 

We have developed a new website for the area, installed free WiFi serving the whole of Mill Lane, commissioned a history of this historic area and launched events with the hugely successful Cardiff Coffee Festival in May.

Now we bring news that the cool sounds of live jazz are to grace ‘Chill Lane’ on Saturday 25th July, following confirmation that the inaugural ‘Jazz in the Lane’ will take place in The Cafe Quarter.

More details will follow as soon as the line-up is confirmed, but some exciting facts are known.

First of all, Cardiff’s legendary Jazz outfit ‘Top Shelf’ will perform a special preview gig in Mill Lane on Saturday 18th July, as a curtain-raiser to the Jazz Fest. They will take to the stage outside Juboraj and Gios restaurants from 1pm to really get the Jazz juices flowing!

Secondly, we can confirm that Jazz in the Lane will officially support Brecon Jazz and we will be showcasing and promoting this vital Festival at our own with the blessing of our friends who are organising this year’s Brecon event.
